Privateer’s Advisory Board will bring extensive expertise across strategy, technology, operations, public policy, and astroscience. The members of the Board of Advisors will be:

Claude Amadeo, former CTO Bridgewater Associates: Claude Amadeo is the former CTO of Bridgewater Associates, where he has had more than two decades of experience. Originally part of the Investment team building fundamental and systematic models to use in trading the markets, he gravitated back to his technology roots, enjoying the challenge of grappling with the intense demands for data, analytics, visualization and automation. Amadeo created Bridgewater's original technology stack - infrastructure, platforms, and applications - as well as its first technology organization. He is currently a Technology Fellow with Bridgewater with the responsibility of advising their current technology leaders. Amadeo spends most of his time now as an avid angel investor, particularly in the aerospace industry, and in media production with the company - FirstGen Content - which he co-founded.
Christopher Cretel, Lead Propulsion Engineer at Phase Four: Chris Cretel leads propulsion development at Phase Four, which seeks to catalyze in-space infrastructure through mass manufactured and propellant agnostic electric propulsion systems. He is responsible for Phase Four’s core technology, the radio frequency thruster, and has matured multiple systems from R&D prototype to flight. He is also responsible for the development of Phase Four’s precision propulsion test capabilities, which have enabled the company to achieve vertical integration for rapid prototyping of new propulsion systems. Cretel’s background includes experience in plasma physics, gas dynamics, spacecraft design, and simulation modeling.
Bill Diamond, President & CEO at SETI Institute: Bill Diamond is an executive leader of a scientific nonprofit institute devoted to research and education around the exploration of planetary habitability, the signatures of life and the evolution of intelligence in our universe. He offers a broad experience base from engineering and manufacturing to marketing, product management and sales, across industries including scientific equipment, fiber-optic communications, semiconductors, and industrial x-ray.
Robb Kulin, former COO of Firefly Aerospace: Robb Kulin is a former aerospace startup COO, NASA Astronaut Candidate, and SpaceX Launch Chief Engineer, with experience developing national space strategies, building companies, risk and program management, dynamic and remote operations, and technical design and fabrication. Kulin has experience assisting technical companies in corporate strategy and technical design, with a primary focus in aerospace launch vehicles, spacecraft, and aircraft. He has led the development of new aerospace and ground system hardware and operations from drawing board to flight, and looks to apply these skill sets in assisting Privateer in keeping earth orbit a safe place to operate for all.
Kevin M. O’Connell, Founder & CEO of Space Economy Rising: Kevin M. O’Connell is a recognized expert on space commerce, the global space economy, international intelligence, and U.S. national security matters. For almost four decades, he has focused on space commercialization and technological competitiveness and how to advance them in global markets. He has also focused on how these innovations impact U.S. and allied national security. His U.S. government assignments include the Department of Commerce (SES), The Department of Defense, The Department of State, The National Security Council, The Office of the Vice President, and The Office of the Director of Central Intelligence. Within the private sector, O’Connell was a senior research analyst at RAND and was the first Director of RAND’s Intelligence Policy Center. In 2007, he founded Innovative Analytics and Training, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in assessing high-tech market areas including geospatial markets, cloud computing, and cyber analytics.
Sanyin Siang, Professor at Duke University Pratt School of Engineering: Sanyin Siang is an investor and advisor to tech founders, VCs, PEs, and Fortune 500 CEOs - bringing expertise in culture, leadership optimization, and team cohesion. Ranked by Thinkers50 as the World’s Most Influential Coach and among the world’s 50 top management thinkers, Sanyin brings a unique combination of practitioner sensibilities, academic grounding, and patterns for leadership success built on her work with leaders across a diversity of sectors and industries. Recognized by LinkedIn as a Global Influencer Top Voice in 2017 and 2018, she draws on the power of stories and behavioral science insights. She leads Duke University's Coach K Leadership & Ethics Center at its Fuqua School of Business. An engineer by training, she is also a professor with Duke's Pratt School of Engineering, and a Faculty Fellow with Duke Divinity School.
