Privateer Engages Defense and Regional Stakeholders at POST 2026

March 10, 2026

Honolulu, Hawai‘i — March 10, 2026 — Members of Privateer’s Washington, D.C.-based defense team traveled to Hawai‘i to participate in the Pacific Operational Science & Technology (POST) Conference 2026, where they met with defense, government, and regional stakeholders to discuss maritime awareness challenges across the Indo-Pacific.

The conference brought together leaders from across defense and technology sectors to address operational demands in a region defined by contested maritime environments, gray-zone activity, and competing global priorities.

Recent congressional testimony from Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, has emphasized the need to achieve decision advantage at speed and scale, particularly as regional threats and resource constraints continue to evolve.

Throughout POST 2026, discussions focused on improving visibility into maritime activity, strengthening awareness across critical sea lanes, and reducing the gap between data collection and operational use. Participants also explored how commercially developed technologies may support these efforts alongside existing defense capabilities.

“Across the Indo-Pacific, the challenge is not access to data, but the ability to translate that data into timely, actionable insight,” said  Alana Marsili, Director of Government and Foreign Relations. “There is growing alignment around the need for systems that can operate continuously and support decision-making across a range of operational scenarios.”

Conversations also highlighted Hawai‘i’s role as both an operational hub and a frontline environment for maritime, environmental, and infrastructure-related risks. Stakeholders discussed the importance of improving coordination and awareness across federal, state, and regional partners.

“Indo-Pacific operations require persistent awareness that can support real-time decision-making across distributed environments,” said Jesse L. Havard, Senior Director of Mission Delivery & Operations at Privateer. “Our focus is on aligning capabilities with INDOPACOM component priorities and delivering actionable insight that can be applied directly at the operational level.”

Privateer’s participation in POST 2026 reflects ongoing engagement with defense and regional stakeholders as maritime awareness needs continue to evolve.
